The Great Pixelation
We were warned not to take it too far. We were warned that our hunger for automation and decentralization could unintentionally open new portals to cyberspace. And then it happened. The Great Pixelation. None escaped.
At first, the Great Pixelation was far from smooth. Many were reduced to single pixels, others were accidentally deleted. But among the turmoil, a small group of unsuspecting individuals were brought together, destined to build a new world. They were called “cryptsters” and despite coming from different backgrounds, they all had one thing in common — they possessed the Swag.
Cryptsters is a new NFT collection exclusively on Ubiq. Made up of 888 unique items, the collection features five body types, hundreds of traits as well as special one of ones, making it easy to obtain the perfect PFP.
Whether you want to make your own merch, create a new game or cast your NFTs in a bad sitcom, Cryptsters has got you covered. Licensed under CC0, you can use your Cryptsters however you wish, without any restrictions. The pixelated sky is the limit.
This is the very first PFP-focused NFT collection on Ubiq. Items will be available for minting for 100 UBQ per item in a first come, first serve basis. Up to 10 items can be minted in a single transaction and there is no limit per address. Once minted, items will be tradable via Jawacamp and the Cryptsters website. All orders/offers will include a 5% creator royalty fee.
Minting will begin Tuesday October 11th at 9pm EDT. Reveal will take place once all 888 cryptsters have been minted.

Artist’s statement
Art for me has always been a way to materialize my inner world and being in crypto gives me a sense of being at the forefront of exploring cyberspace. Really, at this moment the final frontier. Ubiq in particular has given me a stage
so to say to display my work, for which I’m very grateful to this community.I have used Microsoft Paint for a long time, but this project is my first real experience with pixel art and it has been a great joy so far! The inherent limitations that come with very low resolution designing faced me with new problems and forced me to look for new solutions in comparison to my usual style and it triggered my creativity in new ways. I tried making a broad range of
different items inspired by a variety of cultural influences. This of course is far from being complete representation of the worlds cultural diversity but I still hope there will be a Cryptster for everyone.While working on Cryptsters I saw this project as the start of the Great Pixelation, an event where we will transform ourselves from physical beings to digital ones. Biological evolution cannot keep up with the increasingly faster changing world around us and is therefore a dead end street. Cryptsters gives our community the first rudimentary digital bodies we need for an existence in the new realm and I’m excited to see where this takes from here on because I’m sure there is much more to come! But in this project there are only 888 available so don’t get left out!
